Sword Services Greece is seeking to recruit energetic individuals to join our ITSM team in Greece as a Business Analyst. The successful candidate will work in a multinational environment and specifically in a mission critical service contract providing services to the European Commission and EU Member States. The company is currently expanding its activities in Greece offering an optimum career advancement opportunity for the successful candidate who should combine a relevant educational background, with enthusiasm and eagerness.

Job Description Summary

  • Assist the EU Member States during the integration (pre go live) testing against documented Functional and Technical Specifications;
  • Understand the project’s scope and determine timelines, address areas of risk, and define the technical requirements for achieving project goals;
  • Document and communicate task progress, next steps, risks, and issues to the Project Manager and Project team;
  • Ownership and responsibility of deliverables and troubleshooting before moving to production, with the goal of no production incidents;
  • Providing technical, supporting documentation and user training;
  • Participating and/or leading meetings with client and other parties (Tax administrations) on the compliance and deployment aspects;
  • Providing customer support;
  • Provide feedback to the development team and ensure the work is carried out following the schedule and the quality requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineer;
  • At least 2 years of proven working experience in any of the below fields:
    – Compliance of IT systems against specifications
    – Change and Release Management
    – User Acceptance Testing
  • Very good knowledge of XML/XSD technologies;
  • Good knowledge of data analysis and data modelling;
  • Excellent command of the English language (written & verbal);
  • Must have legal right to work in the EU;
  • Self-driven, self-motivated, highly interested in learning and adapting to changing environments;
  • Ability and readiness to work in geographically diversified teams;
  • Ability to travel around Europe

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in BPM standards, Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA) and Service Identification;
  • Business and Technical understanding of EU Taxation Systems

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with users and technical staff
  • Ability to integrate and work in an international environment;
  • Highly self-motivated and methodical, with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
